12 miles around West Seattle on July 11th 2026
The West Seattle Saunter
What:
A self-paced nearly 12 mile walk on July 11th, 2026 exploring the far off land that is West Seattle. All are welcome as it is totally free and you can join for 1 mile or all 12. Highlights will include Alki Beach, Schmitz Preserve Park, Lincoln Park, the tallest hill in the city, and West Seattle Summerfest at Alaska Junction. We will make a stop at Lincoln Park if folks would like to join/depart mid way through (C-Line drops you off right near there). If you choose to join along the route, see below for expected times and locations. The start will be at the West Seattle Water Taxi Pier at around 9:45am (great excuse to take the water taxi at with boats departing from Pier 50 at 9:25). The whole event will be about 5 hours with breaks along the way. The main group is expected to finish back at the Alaska Junction around 3pm.
Come have fun, explore West Seattle and don’t forget to bring a friend!
